Capacity isnt the best for either draw and running them both just uses more detergent. I do however love how quiet this dishwasher is and it does a good job of cleaning the dishes.

Capacity perfect for a couple live out of one drawer load the other back and forth. Very quiet. My last 2 dishwashers lasted just over 10 years the second just over 7. If I'm still alive check in with me in 2036.

After writing a previous review, I contacted Cafe GE customer service and even though i was past the 1 year guarantee by a couple of weeks they wanted to charge me a service guide to come out to look at the appliance. I then reached out to the third-party and they also want to charge me a fee to come look at the appliance. Do not purchase any extended warranty. It is an absolute scam. I am so frustrated with purchasing this product. I wish GE would™€™ve helped me out further. I just want to return and exchange this product and it™€™s been a nightmare.

Brand new kitchen floods on first dishwasher run

Looks beautiful. Unfortunately the maiden run resulted in a flooded kitchen due to a stuck open water valve. Deeply disappointing that a highly priced machine is not tested before the consumer receives it.This points to horrible quality control and indifference from the manufacturer.Lots of GE remorse.

The configuration of my kitchen made it so that a normal dishwasher would no longer fit because of the longer door on newer dishwashers to fully open (had a GE Profile from 1998) so I was forced to go with drawers. It is extremely quiet, but does take 2 hours to run a cycle. I like that I can run the drawers separately to do smaller loads, but it is a challenge to load, and with only one wash arm (my Profile had 3) dishes don't come out as clean. Also, you can't use liquid dishwasher detergent, only powder or gel packs (gel packs are made for a full sized dishwasher, with 2 drawers you're essentially doing a half load). A call to ask why didn't really give me a common sense answer as to why. The dark grey interior makes it hard to see, a lighter color would have been more user friendly. I want to love this machine...hopefully with time I'll become better adept at loading it and trying to figure out which cycle works best.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

I™€™m extremely disappointed with this dishwasher. I™€™ve owned it for almost a year, and it has never performed correctly. From the start, it has had ongoing drainage issues, leaving water sitting in the bottom after every cycle. More concerning, the dishes do not come out clean. Regardless of the cycle or settings used, there is often food residue left behind. At this price point, a dishwasher should reliably clean and drain, and this one does neither. The drying function is also ineffective. Dishes have never come out dry, which defeats the purpose of a full wash cycle. We had a technician come out under warranty, but the issue was not resolved. At this point, it feels less like a repair issue and more like a defective unit. This dishwasher cost over $1,600, and the performance has been unacceptable for a premium appliance. I™€™m sharing this to inform potential buyers and in hopes that GE will take responsibility and offer a proper resolution, ideally a replacement.

Ultra dry does not dry

The dishes are never dry even when using ultra dry. Very frustrating considering the cost of this thing. Also no one knew how to install this thing properly. Indicators on outside would be nice. Extremely disappointed with the no drying of my dishes.

I loved the idea of this dishwasher. A few things I like™€¦ not bending over to load it, ease of use, it™€™s quiet!, what I don™€™t like™€¦ hard to position things if you have a lot of dishes, you have to use so much space if you wash large pots and pans that it leaves a lot of room that doesn™€™t get things clean due to no top washing arm. It didn™€™t come with ash the parts, missing the tines that are flip up up down for spacing, and the small parts to separate knives.

Complete piece of garbage. Do not purchase this dishwasher. It is a year and a half old and stopped functioning - same issue as everyone else. Doesn't drain, loud beeping, warranty not being honored, etc. Too young in its life to have these issues.

Save your money. Dishwasher is already chipping after 2 years of use. Called GE and they wouldn™€™t do anything about it except offer me to purchase a replacement $400 handle. The only useful feature is the double run. For the price, there isn™€™t even a status light that tells you when the cycle has run.

Don't Say You Weren't Warned - This is Garbage

This thing is garbage. You can't fit anything large inside of either drawer, unless you only want to wash one thing at a time. The racks don't spread out enough for you to fit more than a few bowls inside at a time, or if you're like me and have two toddlers, good luck washing those little plates with the higher edges. To top it off, ours will randomly stop mid cycle with half the pod still not dissolved. It beeps 4 times and flashes some lights, but when you call customer service (because of course they don't put the error codes in the owners manual) they act confused, pretend to look into it for 10-20 minutes, and then hang up on you like the call got dropped. For your own sanity, pass on this. It's great in theory, but GE dropped the ball on this one. It's worthless.

The double drawer option is wonderful. If you have one load ready, you can wash it while adding dishes to the other drawer very convenient. The quality and overall look is exceptional. Noise levels are very minimal. My opinion is one of the best products on the market.

First when I purchased this product new to my surprise they would not install it so I had to have it installed. After using it a few times it was not working properly so I used your app to contact a service person.i was told it wasn't under warranty which it was. When the service person came he didn't know anything about the product workings he explained it was new he did order a part which he came back a week later to install and said it was no longer needed because it was now working I was also told that they were refunding my money from the service call which I never received I called a few months later to find out about my refund and was told to expect it in another 6 weeks it has been about 9 months with no refund and the dishwasher still works poorly the bottom drawer still holds water and now the top drawer panel just blinks and won't start so I am really not happy with this product.

Poor quality and very cheap parts for the price. definitely get the extended warranty, less than 2 years and we're on the third repair for the same thing. The dishwasher leaks at the door, and they have yet to find a way to stop from happening over and over. Their extended warranty company is great, easy to work with and quick response, but would prefer NOT to have to call every 6 months for repairs. The dishwasher works great when working, and not leaking. upper and lower levels a wonderful feature. Just wish that the appliance was better quality for the price paid and would not have to worry about it leaking.

Silent as death and pleasure to use

Every new appliance has a learning curve. I am still working on the controls on this one.. accidentally turning off the heated dry for example.. Otherwise I am just smitten with this thing! It is so very quiet! Just Dynamite for silent operation. Wow! Loading it is different, also learning the new patterns for dishes and then training the house to follow suit. I love the top drawer. I can unload without bending down, it slides so easily I can get by it to put dishes away in my new kitchen with more than a full door. I love it. Truly hope it endures and lasts. I do take care of my appliances, though use them thoroughly too. The cafe double drawer dishwasher to absolutely rad and I am stoked to have it! Oh, a solid draw back was the install, the mounting bracket design has two options. They are both ridiculously inefficient. We made it work and it is not a bother, but for those with less experience in the trades, get a pro or have a skilled friend on hand. There is nothing wrong with a hole and a screw- so trying to change that classic system is asinine. It is in now and I love it.

Dishwasher never drains all the water, leaving water at the bottom. I have to use towels to soak up the water. This product also does not dry completely. So you need towels to dry the dishes. You can't tell what cycle the washer is in when in use. Had to call a technician out within 30 days of using the Dishwasher. It took 3 technicians to come out because they were not familiar with the brand. In the end, they had to replace the main board. I would not recommend

I used the powder cleaner as the directions suggested, however even after rinsing the dishes still dont come clean. Sometimes powder residue is evident. I even use the plus cycle.

If I could give this product half a star, I would. I have had multiple problems with this double dishwashers. One doesn™€™t drain and the other turns on for 10 mins then beeps continuously. I can™€™t even close the door without it turning on, on its own! It™€™s beyond frustrating since this isn™€™t the first time we™€™ve had trouble with this product/ appliance. You would think a double dishwasher would be able to fit multiple pots, pans, cups, and dishes? That™€™s a joke!! There™€™s no features to say if the wash is complete, how much time is left, or anything practical and it only takes powder detergent!! Mind you, I purchased this dishwasher in August. It broke down in November right around thanksgiving. The company couldn™€™t figure out what was wrong and it wasn™€™t ™€œfixed™€ till February 27 (after their 3rd attempt). It™€™s now April 24th and it™€™s not working again! Not even a full 2 months have gone by.

We love the fact that it runs much softer with hardly any noise. I use the top loader for dairy dishes as we keep kosher and eat more dairy - great advantage. Incredibly Disappointing Dishwasher

This is, by far, the worst dishwasher I™€™ve ever owned, and ironically, the most I™€™ve ever paid for a dishwasher. The cheap plastic racks will not stay clipped in place. I™€™ve had to tape them into place just to stack dishes. I could live with the cheap parts and flimsy construction, if it actually got my dishes clean, but that™€™s the worst part about this ™€œhigh end™€ dishwasher. Unless I prewash every dish, everything stays dirty. I only fill to min level, never overfill, and I spray all the dishes with cleaning spray prior to wash. This is in addition to using 2 cleaning pods per wash, just to try to resemble clean dishes after the cycle is run. I™€™ve tried everything to gain satisfaction with how much dishes come out, but nothing works. I™€™m almost always rewashing a glass or silverware after every cleaning cycle. I™€™m incredibly disappointed in this product and wish I would have returned it when I had a chance.

I am so upsett about my dishwasher! Only had for couple months and it™€™s been nonfunctional for about 6 wks. Had warranty repair parts ordered still not working. Tech had to order new parts and they are back ordered. I have a dish rack not washer. How inconvenient and I really want new appliance or refund. I will never recommend or purchase this dishwasher to anyone

Great exterior design, horrible interior design

We bought this dishwasher a little over a year ago along with the other matching appliances. The dishwasher looks great installed. However, after trying the recommended detergent, it does not clean dishes effectively, and we are constantly running the machine some times 3 times to get the dishes clean. And in some instances, we have to remove the dishes and clean by hand. The interior design to load dishes is absolutely horrible. Bowls always fall over. The flip down racks are useless for anything you put on it if the dishwasher is full. Just an overall terrible design.

The top drawer cleans and runs fine. The bottom drawer will not completely drain, leaving awful smelling water in the bottom! The capacity is much less than the a regular sized dishwasher and is awkward to stand the dishes. Not happy at all.

I was a little unsure at first but it™€™s getting better. It takes forever to get through a cycle with ultra dry but no problems so far. A bit of a learning curve to get used to from an old style machine.

Entry level with a fancy handle for premium price

Completely unhappy with this dishwasher. There are no exterior indicators to determine if the appliance is running. There is one audible end of cycle indicator that unless you are standing next to the appliance, you won't hear it. Despite what the Owner's Manual will lead you to believe, there are no means to connect the SmartHQ app as the appliance doesn't include a WiFi capability nor ability to connect a separate WiFi module. 6 calls to GE tech and customer support and Instagram conversations confirms the information. GE is unwilling to provide a solution. Don't pay a premium price for this dishwasher, you won't get premium features.

Beautiful with reservations

I™€™ve had my drawer dish washer for almost a year. Black with copper handles. A thing of beauty! If you have a small kitchen and a small family it functions well enough (cleans beautifully) The drawer function is great as each drawer takes up very little space compared to a traditional door. However, the down side is that it is very hard to load especially for big bowls and such. Now you can run both drawers but it uses A LOT of electricity. Finally, my installer said make sure you rotate the drawers he has had service calls where the bottom drawer didn™€™t work as it was never used. Take that for what it™€™s worth.

I recently installed a cafe dishdrawer replacing an older fisher and paykel dishdrawer. My hope is that the cafe last as long as my fisher and paykel; time will tell. These dishdrawers are the same as my old ones but without the display which I will miss. Install was straight forward and since they have just been installed, the only thing I can review is the ™€œlook™€ of the dishdrawers which is nice. Time will tell as to whether or not function is good. Rinse cycle on both drawers worked well since I™€™m use to fisher and paykel.

Cafe appliances are terrible - user manual is like 5 pages, additional info for troubleshooting is non-existent. If something's wrong - the only answer the customer service is giving - pay for the technician visit. Unreliable appliances, poorly designed and assembled.

Most expensive and worst dishwasher ever

We've had it for a year and there is only a 50/50 chance that dishes will be clean after running. We've switched to powder (which is hard to find these days!) and resorted to pre-washing the dishes and filling the racks only about half full, but nothing makes a difference. I've washed more dishes by hand in the last year than I have in my whole life up to this point. Additionally, there is consistently standing water in the bottom after the cycle has run completely. We thought we did our homework before investing in Cafe appliances, but they were the biggest mistake we made when renovating our kitchen. Learn from our error! They are beautiful but that's about it .

Dual drawer dishwasher

I absolutely love my 2 drawer dishwasher. I am single and don't produce a lot of soiled dishes but I love that when I do entertain or prepare for holidays, this dishwasher can handle the load that food prep creates. I can start one load and begin loading a second one right away.
