After 6 months, fridge water filter reminder popped up. Not wanted to spend $55 to be overcharged by GE I ordered a replacement online. Which didn™™t work because apparently in their quest to price gouge customers it won™™t recognize the RFID chip the new filter has. And putting the original one back in won™™t work either. Even though that filter was working fine minutes earlier. So, currently left without a functioning ice machine or water unless I want to spend $110 a year on overpriced filters. Customer service is just horrible. Outside of poor English, they are utterly useless. First and last time buying a GE appliance.

So disappointed. On the first fridge the freezer light didn't work; GE said they wouldn't replace it. After several phone and email conversations, they replaced it. On the second fridge the top doors do not align. Again GE said they would not replace it. So here we are. GE is not building a quality product and what they call Consumer Relations is really Corporate Relations. You do not care about your customers. 30 years ago I bought all new GE kitchen appliances (fridge, stove and dishwasher). All were great. Unfortunately that's no longer the case with the GE products. When people ask me how well I like my new fridge I tell them of my problems with GE and make them aware of what they may face if they buy a GE appliance.

Great layout for counter depth - little loud

Very happy with the design and max use of space especially for a counter depth, only complaint is the compressor is a bit loud (pretty heavy hum in the kitchen when it™™s engaged) and water hoses need to be secured better (I added some extra clips) to keep them from slapping around when dispensing water. Would be nice if there was an extra door tray or ability to adjust the trays more for future enhancements (ie no good place to keep a dozen eggs).

The left door of this GE refrigerator could not close properly. It requires a hard push all the way to close, otherwise it will stay ajar. After the push to close, the left door is uneven against the right door. Poor design, poor assemble, and poor quality control for such a simple and old technology for door.

We have had this for about 3 weeks. I opted for the door inside door not really wanting it. I have to say a do like this feature. I also like the auto water dispenser, I wish the ice cubes were bigger. We live in a hot environment and small cubes melt fast. The new fingerprint resistance was a plus. On the down side this I heavy.WE are DYI. But will had to call for help getting up the stairs. Can™™t really speak to the frost accumulation.

I purchased a GE Profile refrigerator only about three months ago, and it has been an extremely disappointing experience from both a product reliability and customer service standpoint. The refrigerator initially developed an ice maker problem. A contractor was sent to evaluate the issue, but during the service process the refrigerator was damaged and stopped working and cooling entirely. The refrigerator was ultimately deemed unrepairable, leaving me without a functioning refrigerator for approximately three weeks while waiting for a replacement. During that time, I lost the food that was already in the refrigerator and had to spend additional money on meals and food that could be consumed without refrigeration. GE offered only a $100 Visa gift card for the food loss and meal-related expenses. That amount did not come close to covering the cost of the food I lost and the additional expenses I incurred during the three weeks I was without a functioning refrigerator. For a refrigerator that was only approximately three months old, the entire experience has been unacceptable. The product had an initial ice maker issue, the refrigerator was apparently damaged during the subsequent service evaluation, and the resulting failure ultimately left me without a working appliance for weeks. What is especially frustrating is that GE's resolution effectively means I am losing approximately one year of warranty coverage on a refrigerator that was still under Costco warranty simply because the original refrigerator failed and had to be replaced. The replacement refrigerator apparently will not receive the same remaining warranty period as the original unit. This makes little sense from a customer standpoint™"I should not lose warranty protection because GE's product failed and had to be replaced. The $100 offered for food loss and meal expenses also did not adequately reflect the actual financial impact of being without a refrigerator for three weeks. I had to absorb significant additional costs while waiting for GE's repair/replacement process to be completed. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience with both the GE Profile product and GE's warranty service. I would strongly encourage potential buyers to consider not only the appliance itself, but also how GE handles warranty failures and prolonged periods when customers are left without a functioning refrigerator.

I bought this piece of junk right after they began shipping them. Had to wait weeks for it to even arrive to be installed. From day 1, the freezer drawer began icing up. 1st service call was just a month after installation. GE uses a company called Bodewell in my area for service, and they're absolutely useless. Tech comes over and hooks up laptop to see data from fridge. Data says the freezer drawer was left open longer than 15 minutes which is completely false. I now see others that found ice buildup blocks the door sensor making it think the door is open. He blames us and tells the factory it's user error. Despite making sure the drawer is closed all the way and only opened for very brief times, the frost problem continues. I keep complaining to GE and they send Bodewell out again. Same tech, same lousy attitude, same result. Shows me several instances where it says the drawer was left open more than 15 minutes (I didn't know about the ice blocking the sensor at the time). Also shows me several times where it shows temperature spikes of up to 55*F, which appears to me to be a bad sensor because I have a commercial logging temperature probe in the freezer which never recorded any of the spikes he shows -- only the typical spikes caused by the defrost cycle with a max of 14*F.

I paid over $3400 for this refridgerator and have had it for about 6 weeks. Two nights ago, it completely broke. No power, no functionality. All my groceries were ruined. I called GE and asked for a technician under warranty. Apparently GE has so many defective products to repair, they could only send a repairman around 16 days later. From experience, I know that person will need to diagnose the problem and order a part, thus the repair will actually occur weeks after the initial diagnosis. This delay is completely unreasonable, but this is what you pay for when you give your money to GE -- defective products and poor service!

I like the esthetics of the refrigerator but I'm not happy with the space inside. There is too much wasted space like the angled bins on the doors, the shortened shelves (could have added 2 or more inches to the internal shelves). The separate delivery could have also used a little more space as could the freezer also.

I brought in a certified GE repairman and after researching the issue he determined that the unit is not repairable. We are not pleased. We thought that we were purchasing a quality appliance only to find that the features we enjoyed are no longer useable. Is there any recourse?

The fridge works great and I love the snack drawer area for my kids snacks. The only complaint I have is that the blue seal/protective plastic that it came in was hard to get off, my husband and I spent an hour or so with small razors making sure it was all off because it gets stuck in the seams. But the rest of the delivery was great, and the fridge is nice!

Love the LED light wall. We love the small drawer for meats and cheeses. Getting used to counter depth as we always had a 28 cu ft or larger. Make sure you have a large enough door to enter through and that the reduced cu ft works for you. Didn't know the refrigerator door could be removed or we would have done that and kept the larger one. Do not like the left hand door that requires a hard push to shut. The compressor is louder than expected. I keep thinking there is a diesel truck idling outside our door. My wife says the same thing and we didn't talk about it beforehand. We were just comparing notes.

This is our second purchase of the same model - the first was standard depth and this one is counter depth. It looks good; great lighting; love the middle drawer. Ice maker is sometimes criticized for being small, but we've never had a problem. Love it.

Bought this refrigerator new from Lowe's. The first day I had it I had to call to have it fixed. A cannon plug on the door was broken. They had someone out to fix it in a day. Almost 2 years later it stopped cooling. I called to have it fixed, and now there is no one in the area qualified to do the work. I would have to find someone out of area to come look at it fix it and write a letter saying it was broke before GE would reimburse me. So no one could do the warranty work. After spending my own time and money replacing components, I got it working again. 2 weeks later it stopped cooling again. It also now has dropped off the wifi and won't connect again. 2 years of service is all it gave. The $300 whirlpool fridge it originally replaced is still doing fine out in the garage. I'm glad I didn't get rid of it at the time.

We bought the counter depth refrigerator. Our old fridge was a GE that lasted for over 15 years, so we went with GE again. Things we like: The wall light is great making it easy to see everything . The extra door to get to regularly used items like milk is great! I didn™™t realize how much we would use it. We™™re also liking the 3rd drawer. We have a separate beverage fridge, so we™™re using the 3rd drawer for additional food storage. The fridge overall is really quiet. Some things that are not as great: Like other reviews, the ice is really slow and the cubes do come out a bit crushed even when cubed ice is selected. The water dispenser is also slow and not cold. The dispenser is also a bit hard to push. Overall, so far so good! We™™re really happy to have a new fridge. Hoping this one lasts as long as our last one.

First month of operation and the it has stopped making ice. Has three stars for space, looks and functionality. Freezer and beverage drawer are very good. Never used the connectivity. Not sure why any one would .

Weird gurgling noise

I chose the fridge since my son has one and loves it. Mine makes a strange gurgling sound when it is running. Your approved tech said the fridge is acting normally and this is the gas within the system. I do not like what sounds like dripping water as the fridge runs. Was essentially told I would have to deal with this. And no, my sons doesn™™t make this noise!

The new frig is good but not great. The internal drawers are very flimsy. Good thing it is just my wife and I because I doubt they would survive kids use. Also, the Ice make quits working intermittently, requiring me to turn it off in the control panel then open it up an d cycle the "flapper" 3 or 4 times, then turn it back on in the control panel. Overall I think this frig is overpriced for what you get.

I'm just a little disappointed because the shelves on the left door are very narrow and many products don't fit in them. Shelving inside a great but definitely does not hold as much as my Frigidaire Gallery which I replaced. Also the 2 shelves on the right don't hold very much. I chose GE because when we purchased our new home we upgraded to Frigidaire and have had nothing but problems which started after we were in our new home a little over 1 year.

Door latch does not work from the very beginning

I bought this refrigerator because my 12 year old Bosch died. I had problems with it off and on then entire time. So I was excited to buy the GE Profile. Ordering from the appliance store was great, delivered the next day. the right door does not latch to the inner door. I was told to call the place I purchased it and set up a service call. Repair man arrived the next week to fix the door and couldn't. He ordered a new handle and said this should fix the problem. He came today - two days earlier than I had scheduled, so I had to rush home from work, to install the new handle. Still doesn't work. Now he is ordering a new panel for the door. Which means I have to take another 1/2 day off from work to have this fixed. This will make 4 half days of work missed to wait for the refrigerator and get it fixed. This cost too much even on sale to need to have it repaired as soon as it is installed.

Best Refrigirator we have ever owned. It is about 1/2 inch lower, which fits perfectly in our kitchen. We also got the countertop model, so it gives us more room. The automatic water dispenser is very convenient, and the door-in-door setup is great. The second lower drawer is great as well. The engineers of this product really had a well-thought-out design.

Love this refrigerator! The drawer is a fantastic idea. We store our eggs, bread, lunch meats, etc in there. So convenient, and the door in door is terrific also! I thought these were gimmicks initially, but really like the functionality of them! The LED lighting is awesome, not a dark corner anywhere.

I love the overall appearance but find it cumbersome with all the doors and the shelving that has split detailing that sometimes gives way when it isn't wanted. The lights to the icemaker cannot be turned off permanently. The installers didn't remove all the blue taping and sealed it to other parts of the refrigerator so that it cannot be fully removed and it looks tacky. The installers also did not level it when it was delivered. I'm still trying to adjust to a new frig but I'm not thrilled with it, too much room in the refrig and not enough room in the freezer.

I am quite happy with the refrigerator. A couple of issues we have found: First, the glass shelves inside the refrigerator are not level. One side is slanted down towards the middle so they are not flush with each other. Also, the touch pad for water and ice and not very responsive. You have to really press or search a bit the sweet spot to get the to work. Lastly, the blue tape that covers the refrigerator for ™its protection™ is evil. It is applied before the fridge is fully put together, so it is stuck between pieces that you can™™t take abet to get to. It was an absolute nightmare to remove. It took literally about 3 hours to get it off as much as possible. I am still able to see blue in certain spots. ð¬

12/11/2025 ™ Delivery of new refrigerator- everything worked ™ took temperature 1 and 1/2 days to reach desired temperatures. 12/16/2025 ™ice maker not working ™ Control panel not working. No lights middle drawer - Error code ™NC™ 12/17/2025 ™ Called GE repair people (liberty) - said soonest to come was 12/29/2025 ™ set up appointment for that date. 12/29/2025 ™ Tyrone came and said after a brief inspection that a new panel was needed for the control board ™ he said he would order today and may take a week or so to come in from GE. He said he would be the one to install. ™¦™¦..now waiting for phone call to install . Should have went with the LG

GE Profile 22.4 cu. ft. Refrigera- absolute trash!

We bought the GE Profile from Costco. This one was DOA - nothing worked, except the interior lights. Costco replaced after a week's wait. The second one worked OK for a month after which it started leaking water. Even after turning off the water supply, it continued to leak - source unknown - likely a faulty interior works defrost function. We went back and forth with Costco, but they ultimately tooked back. No more GE appliances for us - no product quality control!

Great product. Sleek design. Does what is suppose to do. This review is written with 1 month of usage so no issues as of now. Storage is optimal, though it could be better. The to often feels small when you open it and the side holders for condiments and other small items are surprisingly to small. Not many things fit in them. Is currently in imperial and I tried configuring it metric but that isn't going so well. I would consider myself technically competent but this is escaping me to find. Connecting it to WiFi is simple. Nothing ground breaking but cool to have. All in all, it's an refrigerator. It does what is suppose to do. I do not think adding "smart" features justify the price by any means though.
